Activists on social media circulated a video footage on Wednesday showing a group of al-Qaeda and al-Islah party militias threatening the UAE and promising to pursue and attack them.
Emirati military analyst Khalfan al-Kaabi commented in a tweet, saying: “We must protect ourselves from them.”

Al-Kaabi warned the Hadi government: “Watch out for what is going on. We will not allow the presence of al-Qaeda and terrorist organizations even if your culture and 7,000-year history allow this.”
The UAE and Saudi-backed terrorists were originally allies going into the war against Yemen on 2015. However, over time differences in strategic goals for Yemen’s future have caused the groups to often clash violently.
