SANA’A – Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, president of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee and high-ranking member of the Ansarullah movement, has slammed the United States of America for its imperialist meddling in Yemen’s domestic affairs, and has called for international punishment for any and all crimes committed by the American empire.
“Remarks of US officials hold within many fallacies,” al-Houthi wrote in a message on social media, referring to the US tendency to accuse the Yemeni revolutionaries of being a “terrorist organisation” and “controlled by Iran”. Both accusations hold no value, as Ansarullah and the Yemeni Armed Forces have shown time and again to be the major forces in the fight against Al-Qaeda linked groups in the country, as well as any other Wahhabi organisations supported by the Saudi regime.
“The American administration has to accept to appear before the International Criminal Court and an independent and impartial commission of inquiry into the alleged violations,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi continued.
The head of the Revolutionary Committee added that he is in possession of multiple video and audio files that would serve as evidence in court, proving that the United States, Saudi Arabia and other members of the Saudi-led invasion coalition has been engaging in thousands of deliberate attacks against civilian targets in Yemen.
Committee President Mohammed Ali al-Houthi furthermore accused the UN Security Council of often being a tool for the major imperialist powers, noting that several of its members are themselves constantly involved in wars, and thus cannot be expected to make any decisions in the interests of peace.
“What we did not see in the Security Council, is that it would stand by the issues of peoples, [try to make a] difference to their human suffering, or has interest in developing an executive program to stop domination by military force; because it is always either part of the aggression, or one of its members that wields veto power,
is devoting or initiating violence and terrorism.”
