Ansarullah delegation begins international tour, breaking Saudi isolation attempts

SANA’A, YEMEN – In a clear indication of the failure of Saudi attempts to isolate Yemen internationally from any and all possible partners and friends abroad, a delegation of diplomats has been sent by the revolutionary government of the Yemeni Republic.

The Supreme Political Council, the ruling body of the Republic of Yemen, has sent a delegation of negotiatiors to represent Yemen directly in the capitals of foreign nations. The delegation is chaired by official spokesman of Ansarullah, Mohamed Abdul Salam.

Supreme Political Council member Abdulmalik al-Ajri, who accompanies Mohamed Abdul Salam on the tour, has confirmed that there is indeed a number of nations that shall be visited by the delegation. He also confirmed earlier reports that Ansarullah members were spotted visiting the Iranian capital of Tehran on February 10, adding that Tehran was but one of the many stops the delegation will make in coming weeks.

The delegation containing amongst others Abdul Salam and al-Ajri, left in late January, making its first stop in the Omani capital of Muscat. The Sultanate of Oman is an active mediator in the Yemeni conflict, and is actively working towards ensuring a political solution and ceasefire can be reached soon.

The exact list of nations that shall be visited has not been published, but Abdulmalik al-Ajri has stated that
it will be “a visit to a number of European and Arab countries”.

The fact that representatives of Ansarullah, the Supreme Political Council and the revolutionary government of the Yemeni Republic are openly being received and welcomed in Arab and European nations alike, showcase the clear failure of Saudi-led attempts to isolate Yemen from the rest of the world.
