SANA’A – Ansarullah, the revolutionary organisation that played a leading role in the September 21 Revolution of 2014 and is often described as “Houthis” in Western media sources, has vowed that the latest drone attack against oil refiniers of the Saudi Aramco corporation was only the beginning of a new campaign of retaliation against the invaders of Yemen.
In a press statement published amongst others by Press TV, Ansarullah stated that it is planning to strike no fewer than 300 vital targets across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and occupied areas in Yemen itself. The main targets of these strikes will be Saudi and Emirati military headquarters and facilities, the statement read.
On May 14, a Yemeni drone strikes caused massive damage to Saudi oil refineries, in retaliation for Riyadh’s continued campaign of aggression against Yemen. Following the attack, Saudi Arabia had to halt oil transport through a major pipeline, causing significant economic damage. Saudi Arabia’s main stock exchange, the Tadawul, dropped by 1.5% as an immediate result of the strike.
