At least 15 people have been killed in an attack carried out by Boko Haram militants in northeastern Nigeria, According to Xinhua, citing local officials.
Osman Zannh, a member of the National Parliament from Borno state, told Xinhua that on Thursday, Boko Haram groups stormed the town of Magumeri, about 40 km north of the regional capital of Maiduguri, capital of Borno and bombed it with anti-aircraft guns and other weapons.
The Nigerian army has not yet confirmed the attack.
Boko Haram, the colloquial term used for the organisation officially calling themselves the Islamic State’s West Africa Province, is a Wahhabi terrorist organisation that has been a major threat to the people of Nigeria for several years now.
