Clashes between Saudi- and UAE-backed groups break out in Aden
ADEN – Fierce clashes have broken out on Friday, between different Saudi-led coalition rival militants in Aden province. This was reported by local sources to Yemen Press Agency.
According to the sources, the clashes broke out the central city of al-Mansoura, near Alghazl and Alnasij roundabout.
The confrontations are believed to be between armed elements loyal to al-Mihadar, which is backed by the exiled Saudi-backed former president Hadi, and armed gunmen of Abdul Ghani Alsubahi, who is backed by the UAE.
The clashes came a few days after gunfights erupted between the so-called Mahdar Brigade and gunmen loyal to Alsubahi, which caused injuries on both sides.
