SANA’A -The Yemeni Foreign Ministry has on Monday strongly condemned Sunday’s airstrikes carried out by Saudi-led air forces on Hajjah province, which killed nine residents and injured 16 others.
The ministry said in a statement that the war crime added on to the previous crimes and violations committed by the aggression against the Yemeni people.
“While the Muslims of the Arab and Islamic nations were approaching Allah on Sunday morning, on Eid al-Adha, the coalition countries led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE killed Yemeni children and women, in a flagrant violation of human and international law,” the ministry added.
The ministry called on the UN to exert more pressure on the coalition in order to end the war and lift the siege imposed on the Yemeni people, and stated that it holds the international community fully responsible for the continued crimes.
“The crime of genocide the Saudi-led aggressor against Yemeni civilians will not pass without punishment, and the perpetrators will be held to justice, either before a national court or the International Criminal Court,” the Ministry concluded.
