TAIZ- A number of Islah militias on Tuesday have taken control of the al-Thawra hospital in Taiz province in southwestern Yemen, local sources reported.
According to local sources, three militants of the Islah party on a military pickup have raided and taken control of Al-Thawra hospital and its main gate.
The sources added that militias closed all the hospital departments except the emergency sector supported by humanitarian organisation Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Over the past two weeks, Taiz has been witnessing violent confrontations between the Abu al-Abbas brigade, and Islah party militias led by the city’s security forces. Hundreds of families have been displaced from the city and have fled to Sana’a, which is run by the National Salvation Government, seeking a safe place to stay
