Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi, President of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, praised the Belgium State Council’s decision to halt the arms trade between Belgian manufacturers and the Saudi regime, which have been used by Saudi ground forces since the start of the aggression in early 2015.
He praised the Belgian court’s decision to ban the arms trade to the Saudi hermit kingdom as a “positive measure”, according to Lebanse Al-Mayadeen Television.
Al-Houthi called the ban a “political slap in the face of Saudi Arabia”.
Earlier on Saturday, Al-Houthi stated on Twitter that only a political solution would help make an end to the conflict.
He further emphasized that Yemen was no longer under Chapter VII of the UN charter, and that the states of the Coalition will achieve no military victory on the ground.
