SANA’A -Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah has said on Tuesday that the “Yemeni people today are suffering oppression and siege like Imam Husayn was in Karbala.”
In a speech on the holiday of Ashura, on the tenth day of the month of Muharram, taking place in Beirut’s southern suburb, Sayyid Nasrallah said that that “the continuation of [the war by] Saudi Arabia and the UAE would only bring them defeat, humiliation and eternal and historical shame.”
He added that the war on the Yemeni people has turned into an absurd war in light of the silence of the international community and a US-British partnership.
Sayyid Nasrallah explained that the events in Aden, Abyan and others are proof of the falsehood of the claims of the coalition of aggression that they want to protect what they called “the legitimate government”, and that their projects to divide Yemen are clear.
“Is’nt it the time for all Yemenis to understand the reality of Saudi Arabia and the UAE? ” he asked, referring to the Yemenis who support the invaders.
Sayyid Nasrallah concluded by reiterating his call for an end to the war on Yemen.
