TEHRAN – Professor at Tehran University and West Asia expert Dr. Hassan Ahmadian, has said that the coalition of Saudi-UAE aggression on Yemen is about to end. He pointed out that the differences between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi will very likely escalate.
Doctor Hassan Ahmadian said in an interview with a Tasnim International News Agency reporter that a comprehensive review of the UAE’s relations and regional behaviours has emerged, and this issue has gradually worsened the differences between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh among the differences in Yemen.
He pointed out that while the UAE at first fully accompanied Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi has gradually shifted focus to the areas of southern Yemen.
The University of Tehran professor pointed out that the Saudis are dissatisfied with the UAE’s new behaviour, which can be seen in the analyses by writers close to the government in Riyadh.
Ahmadian confirmed that the Saudi-led coalition is over, and that while Saudi Arabia has the financial capacity to continue the war in Yemen, it has reached the realistic conclusion that there is no possibility of winning the ongoing war.
The professor concluded that Saudi Arabia is likely coming to the conclusion that it must reach an agreement with the National Salvation Government of Yemen, in order to remove at least the most pressing Saudi security concerns.
