The United Nations said on Wednesday that “a child under the age of five dies every 12 minutes in Yemen because of the humanitarian crisis caused by the war.”
This came in a tweet posted by Achim Steiner, the UNDP representative in Yemen, via his Twitter account.
“A child under 5 years of age dies every 12 minutes in Yemen, mostly as a result of lack of water, basic nutrition, health care and medicines due to the conflict,” Steiner said in his tweet.
